Short description of the game
When we found out the theme was “Space” we came up with the idea of not only the setting taking place in Space, but the theme of two lovers being split apart. The whole game is about reuniting the two lovers, thus closing the space between them.

Development Process
We drew inspiration from the game Celeste, we knew we wanted to do a narrative-driven platformer. We settled on using Unity as our game engine, and having a pixel art design. Initially, we had plans to implement an oxygen & dash meter, but it wasn’t feasible with our skillset and timeframe. It was most of the teams first time making a game so we came across a lot of challenges. One challenge was collaborating through GitHub and having to overcome and figure out merge conflicts. The grapple mechanic is still something not everyone in the team can agree on, but we all can agree that figuring the game out was a great learning experience.

Did you work in a multicultural/multilingual team over different time-zones?
