We just saw Jade the Kobold's stream and it seemed like they had a bit of difficulty working out what to do. In hindsight the puzzle elements are maybe a little too out of left field, this is our second ever game, and we still have a lot to learn in conveyance. So for those interested here's a little hint:

Your plant grows towards your cursor, the further the cursor, the more it moves towards it.

Very lovely game! I loved the art style that you chose and the music felt perfect for the game! Really impressive that you were able to do all of that in the time of the jam! It made me feel very happy as a player to be able to feel connected to each plant for its entire lifespan and creation through the gameplay. Also very impressive that you did the research to include fun facts about the different plants and tie it into your game play as well! Great game! Well done (:

I think the art style you have chosen is great and the animations are very nicely implemented. Like how you changed the scale of the bird the closer it gets to the snail. And the little touches, like how the bird "leaves" small marks if it hits the sprout. The sense of progression is nice as well, it really fits the theme of the jam.

Also, I noticed it because this is something I also forgot to do, but I think you might have forgotten to loop your music track, as at one point it just stops playing :)

Great job!

Thank you for your complements. The music playing once per level was actually a diliberate choice as we didn't want it to feel too intense. Maybe we could have done more to fade in/out?

I lost at the end and my almost tree died :O

Really chilling and nice to play and see it grow towards the cursor. Would be cool to have it growing a bit faster tho ^^

Thanks for your comment, it's a difficult balance to do quickly with not much experience. We do agree it can get a bit tedious, in fact we left our sPeed button in for the first two levels. Though it won't let you get all the different plant, unless you wait until you get the upgrade.

The games sprites are very clean and gorgeous to look at. Very soothing to play. I like the idea about having a large garden with different plants.
