Clever idea, and the story seems like it could make for an interesting game.  The idea of separate shadow people could make for some cool puzzles.

The control feel kinda wonky, especially since it's a bunch of 2D assets in a 3D world.  I could see it working like Paper Mario does if you allow characters to move with arrow keys or AWSD but just clicking makes it hard to control depth.

The UI works pretty well, I figured out how to pick up the key and open the door fairly quickly.

I wish I could play but I can't open tarballs...

What version did you tried and on what platform?

I tried to play the Windows version. For accessibility you should compress your games into .zip files, not tarballs. I'd normally be able to open them but I'm using a public computer, and not many people know what program to install to open them.

Oh, good point, I'll probably upload a new version later today, I'll try to ZIP it for Windows users :)

Interesting, but I am having some trouble playing the game as some objects seem to be invisible. I managed to open the door, but I can't really go anywhere. Are there more things to do?

Not much is done in the uploaded version right now so I'm afraid not. But we are working hard to pull off the three planned levels as soon as possible, I might upload a complete version of the first level tomorrow. You can talk to Richard and he should explain that to you as it ends the level :p Things become invisible when you switch to the shadow realm (where other interactions will be possible once the level is done), you may have triggered a bug that transported you there, the logic to triggers those travel is not yet finished so when that happen, you may be softlocked :/

Oh ok, thanks. I'll be sure to check out the updated versions when they're available.

EDIT: Oh I just replayed the game and I found Richard. I actually thought you were talking about a real person in your comment :D

Nice point and click interface. I like the mix of 3D with 2D sprites. The main character's sprite sometimes turns completely black while moving. Is that to indicate that he is a shadow at that point? I can see this going into a Fran Bow direction :)

Developer

Not really but that could be an idea :D It's just a problem with light position, thanks for the feedback :)
