Some additional explanations on submitting your games for the jam:
- You can submit your game at any time before the deadline, and upload the binaries/edit the entry at any time until the deadline too. So don't wait for the last minute for the game to be "perfect", you can try a build now and set up your itch.io page, and update it with the last version before submissions end if you want.
- After the deadline, no new entries can be submitted. If you have submitted an entry, you still have the option to update your builds. We leave this possibility so that you can fix glaring bugs that prevent experience your game (crash, cross-platform issue, etc.). To be fair with other jam participants, please refrain from updating your builds with new features or more content.
- If you want to continue working on your game after the jam and during the rating period, you are welcome to do so (but as per the above, please don't put newer builds up for rating unless bugfixes). If using version control, you can put your post-jam changes in a separate branch for now, so that the default branch stays at the to-be-rated jam version (for people playing and rating directly from the source code).
TL;DR: Feel free (and encouraged) to continue working on your games after the deadline, just make sure that the build people will rate stays at the state your gameplay and content were when the jam ended.
