This really seems cool. I like the art that you've made so far. During the production jam you may want to try as a scratch goal to make the shader color customizable to accommodate color-blind people.
That's actually a really good idea. I'll look into either making color sliders for the two atmosphere colors, or allowing custom hex codes.
I really like the art direction! The concept is very cool, too. Reading through your design doc, it sounds like you have some experience with this genre. The pops(people) objects does seem like an area where the complexity can escalate.
I look forward to playing the game.
It's a solid concept and the visual design conveys information to the player pretty well. I wish there's a more detailed explanation on how the player can control the pace of resource depletion (replacing trees? building sewage treatment?)
As a long time RTS fan, I am very excited to see your submission. I love the idea! I am concerned about the scope, though.
