>What was the most frustrating moment or aspect?

The long travel times prevented me from wanting to replay the game after the water rose.

>What was your favorite moment or aspect?

I really like that I didn't have to guide the cattle all back home. The music was also a nice touch.

>Was there anything you wanted to do, but couldn't?

I was hoping to finish the game, but once the water rose it was impossible to get wood in the forest and the game was instantly over.

>If you could change, add, or remove any 1 thing, what would it be?

If more trees of the kind needed for the boat could be put outside of the immediate flood area it would be appreciated. By the time I had most things figured out it seemed like I could only get the wood behind that trader's house, despite still having the ability to walk all the way to the iron field and back.

I had some difficulties figuring out some timings on it. I learned that theres definitely some problems with a exploration game on a time limit haha. I also really wanted to have a few more quests/things to do in the open fields but I over scoped a bit and had to cut some content.

I'll see if I can bring some of the landscape of the forest up to match the higher tiers. I think that would help a bit. I've also been thinking of adding an option to slow the passage of time from the pause menu or something.

Thank you so much for your feedback and for playing my game!

I ended up playing all the way through and really enjoyed it!

Maybe could use some quest markers? Because it was surprisingly difficult to figure out that the peppers were in the bushes, but on the other hand, that did force me to explore the island a lot.

I see that you added some changes from Roldy's suggestions, because I got a lot of use out of the auto run button.

It was a lot of fun to see the water rise throughout the game and my only regret is not blowing up the boat before I left.

This must have been a ton of work by yourself, so take some time to relax, you deserve it!

Thank you so much! It was a lot of work lol!

Yea, design wise I'm kind of trying to figure out the best way to balance quest markers without telling the player exactly what they need to do. But I think that's kind of something that's constantly being discussed in the whole industry. And then mechanically, I don't really know how to do it, so I'm going to look into it.

I should also add a little "You can't complete any other quests after this." thing around the hole.

Anyway, thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to play Any Direction and leaving feedback!

Impressive.

Runs well and looks good.  Controls are solid, though I would have aprreciated an auto run button.

I liked that I didn't have to press any button to gather items (peppers and bananas).  However, I spent sometime trying to figure out how to get iron. Never got any. I think I found the big rocks but couldn't figure out how to give them a 'whack.'

The day/night cycle and the world in general is very nice.  I really like exploration games.  Music was good.

Huge potential.

Tell me how to get that iron so I can get in the space ship.

Thank you so much! Hahaha, I guess I wasn't clear enough in the quest log. You go back to talk to Matheo, the wizard guy, and he gives you a magic missile spell that you can use to shoot at the rocks and break up the ore.

If I had a little bit more time, I'd try and add like a compass or something to show where to go next. Maybe if I can figure it out soon I'll go ahead and add it.

I forgot to add any notification in the game, but there's also a sprint if you hold shift. Might speed up the exploration. I'll look into an auto-run though as well, that's a good idea.
