Wow, that is an impressive amount of work. The prototype feels smooth and works quite well. I did find the game very difficult to play though. It feels as if the ball movement is quite erratic, but I think that has more to do with there not really being much to indicate how the opponent is hitting the ball. I really enjoyed it and look forward to what else you will create.
Sounds like it'd be an interesting game once it's finished. The graphics are nicely done and stylized. Hitting A, S and D don't seem to make a visible difference though unless I overlooked something.
