About the Hidden Hero and their story
The hero is the grandfather of Sebastian, Larry Singer. Larry passed away when Sebastian was a teenager. One of Sebastian's memories of Larry was playing Candyland with him as a child. Larry would cheat at the game in order to lose making the game much more fun. Larry loved all of his grandchildren and loved to make them laugh. We took inspiration from this memory to create a game where to objective is to let your grandson win without making it too obvious.

This is such a cute game! The story behind the game is super sweet too! I think it also puts a fun spin on snakes and ladders. It reminds me of when I'd play Uno as poorly as possible to let my nephew win.

Thanks for the feedback. We actually considered using Uno as the model for the gameplay. We ultimately decided against it since it was harder to quantify winning vs losing and making the AI for the kid would have been more complex. But I do think an Uno version would be lots of fun to make since the game itself has more choices you can make that snakes and ladders.
