In my mind, this is now the definitive "I want to try E.T., but I want to know what's actually going on" game.  An extremely faithful recreation that does a much better job explaining its rules than the original did.  In that regard it's deserving of kudos.  Well done.

Thanks!

Never actually played ET before. And I did not look at instructions before playing... was very confused how I actually opened my umbrella to scare away people. Seemed to never get that option when I wanted it / needed it. I basically sprinted across everything. Got all 3 items but then had no idea where bat country was...

I did enjoy it though.

Also mary popping out of pits was the best.

I should really add some in game instructions. It's super simple really.

The umbrella does different things depending on where you stand.
TIP: Make a mental map of the action zones.

Did you get that "Bat Country" is an action zone?

This is really funny, yes i found this game funny and good (ik i am weird :P)
Playing this made me realize that, if not for the rushed development process ET could have been so good.
The theme of this game was very simple yet effective [could not finish the game, got caught :P]
The controls were good and not sluggish.
One thing i really liked was the options screen before the game, simple yet effective.
I really liked the simplistic 2D art, gave that modern atari vibe.
Overall, a pretty good game showing what ET truly could have been :)
