I personally love platform games, and I really liked this one. The graphics was cartoony and was fun to see, and the road really takes you far. It is something like Hollow Knight, but more forgiving (GREAT).

We just have a concern regarding the character reaction to attacking the enemy. It’s interesting that you get knocked back when attacking but the music and graphics just don’t give the right message. It was as if we were the one being damaged. Maybe you can work on that a little more.

Overaall, I Loved It. HAHA. KEEP IT UP!

P.S. Those look like Cactoids from FFXII that were cross bred with Kirby X D SO CUTE ~ Renz

Thank you very much for the feedback! I haven't really thought about the knockback that way, but now that you mention it, it totally makes sense. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

PS: I don't think I'll be able to come up with a better name than "Cross-Bred Kirby Cactoid". That's just awesome.

If you would like to play the game without a mouse it is also possible!

Alternate controls are:

  • Arrow Keys - Movement
  • Spacebar - Jump | Double Jump
  • X - Attack
  • Z - Dash

Thanks to The Icehouse for pointing it out. Hope you enjoy!

Really fun game! It's incredible that it's done by one person, great job!

I love the art, the animations, even the sound effects are pretty good.

Very well done!

Very fun game. Really enjoyed the difficulty of some levels and the fast-paced gameplay.  Enemy hit on ground is a nice touch but on air it feels a little excessive.  A good game overall

It was fun, I liked the world and animations. The hero is well done, he has a nice style. I was not very at ease with the gameplay, I would have prefered the keyboard to attack rather than the mouse left button. The fact that the hero is pushed back when he attacks an ennemy makes it even more difficult (but it's not a bad point). The music was dynamic and made the game more immersive, well done. The backgrounds/environments could benefit of a bit more details, but with a bit more work this project could become a very ambitious game!

Thank you for playing and for the in depth feedback! I didn't have the time to finish implementing instrucctions for the alternate controls of the game, but it is possible to play it only with the keyboard (Arrow Keys + X + Z). Personally I too prefer that control scheme as well, but I did forget to note it in a comment on the jam page  and only wrote it in the game page, so I'll do that right now (thanks for pointing that out!).  I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Nice looking art, loved the dash animation. Enemy hit recoil can be tricky at times, short but enojoyable though.

Very cute art, awesome Hollow Knight gameplay, a forgiving respawn system, what's not to love ?

Thanks for playing! The comparison to HK gameplay honestly just made my day. Glad you enjoyed!

Not always easy, this little platform game proves to be very fun. The simple graphics, colorful, bring by their side griphonné adorable childish aspect, while the levels are sometimes quite complicated to overcome. The penciled animations of the characters is a real plus.
