The gameplay was honestly more frustrating than I'd like with objects that were hard to pick up or hard to see, such as white flashes on white objects. The battle system was interesting, but would prove difficult for those with certain accessibility issues or lag. Some enemies have odd buffing protocols where they will buff your ally instead of the enemy. The ending would be fine if it ended, but it instead loops, repeating the ending with no solid concept of whether the game has ended or if the looping is a glitch.

The story was fairly simple and while the concept behind the story could lead to some interest, there was very little to pull the player into the story. There are many things left unknown. As an example, there is no real concrete reason why one party member would risk their life to help another. Instead, it feels forced as the character had just mentioned that they avoided risk, then turns around and dives into risk anyways.

The graphics just feel out of place with having 2D character sprites and a soft 3D style world. In addition, when entering the options menu from the title screen, the title image flips and exiting, there is a delay where the screen is black until the game decides to put the image back. The music was simple, though it fit reasonably well.

With the bugs, such as bosses walking around after being defeated, there is much that is distracting from the game. Even without those bugs, the game lacked a strong impact to really make it shine.

This game is as good as it looks! It's really charming. The battles are hard if you're kind of useless like I am, but it is a lot more fun than just spamming attack in a vanilla turn based battle.

I find it very strange that the title screen image turns upside down if you're viewing the options or continuing a game.

I found this passability error in Laeta's house, but only the first time we were there. Upon re-entry it'd vanished.

I didn't actually notice until I saw the updates that the HP bar was only for enemies that had been defeated before, I thought it was just bugging out on me tbh xD. Perhaps a mention of that somewhere in game would help?

After defeating the boss man eater it still briefly appears on the map which was odd.

Lastly, the credits don't always seem to run. I'm not sure what caused it, but on my first playthrough the music kept playing on a black screen. I could still open the menu but it wasn't responding to anything else.

I would certainly like to see more of this. Great job team!

Thanks a ton for the feedback, Rhino! I'm looking into all of these issues and hopefully will have them fixed for a future release! I know the solution to some but I still need to look into others! We don't really have plans to expand this particular game, but have plenty of idea for future games with a continued focus on 2.5D graphics and different battle mechanics! :D Thanks again!

This was really awesome - as I knew it would be! The maps are beautiful, the battles are well-balanced/fast paced and the story was easy to follow - great job team!

As the IGMC is nearing completion, I just wanna give a huge shout out to all of those who played the game and gave feedback!

It means so much and the game couldn't improve or be fixed without your feedback.  There's not much time left, so, I'm not here to ask for anyone to leave any feedback for fixing the game last minute unless you absolutely desire to do so and find something. Moreover, I'd love to know what your personal thoughts on the story and design of the game as a whole are. Do you like it? Do you hate it? Do you just don't give a flop? I'd love to know. Really. Anyways, thanks again. I look forward to hearing from you all.

Glad to see you finished your game in time!

I downloaded the game in the windows version but when I tried unzipping the file I got 2 items that were corrupted which were the

  1. Animations/Heal5.png
  2. TitleScreenF1.png

When I pressed new game I got an error that read: img/pictures/TitleScreenF1.png so I couldn't play the game yet. I don't know if it's just me who got that error.

I hope you can get these two errors fixed, last thing I'd want is for you to be disqualified due to a little bug. ^_^/

Hey, thanks SO much for posting this! I got the same error as you when testing it. I uploaded the game right before itch.io started having issues earlier today, so it's possible that might have been the cause.
It is now re-uploaded and working on my computer! Thanks again! :D
