Cute story concept, with some sad touching moments as you get further into it.
I adore the cutscene art. It ranges from solid anime pixel stills, to more complicated fade effects and some very good stills. Not to spoil a certain cutscene, but that one fade effect hit T_T.
Great idea with the minigame before the mission.
Serves the characters and story, and has an effect on the mission. It is executed and does the job.
Only real complaints:
A lot of grammar mistakes.
I hate to be that person, but it is distracting during story moments given through text.
That said, this is a game jam game, so I blame the damn clock.
Enemy damage is a bit high, melts your health super fast.
It sells the point that you need to be a swift deadly hitman who strikes quickly, but in the future, I think it needs to be toned down a tiny bit.
Most important, I really would have liked some indication to damage range.
Not sure how it would be done, considering projectiles aren't used.
Maybe just a line effect that happens when you shoot, and disappears quickly, teaching you to memorize the range.
