You've paced the text quite nicely, and the topic is interesting.  I like the idea it's exploring, and although I think brevity of the story works in this case, seeing more of it would be nice👍

Really sweet story. I would have liked a few more choices - even inconsequential ones, just to have a little more connection with "my" character - but this is well written, the setting is interesting, and it's a nice approach to the jam theme.

Compelling start! I was a bit lost as to why the swarms are empathetic, but only because I actually cared myself.
