Cutest alien ever. I liked the gameplay and presentation. Using more than 32 directions for shooting would greately help the game. There are some ways to achieve it.

Enjoyable game, i liked the bonus lights advertised by the billboard, very nice touch :)

Thanks for the comments and critiques, Dave C! I didn't consider the constant clicking to be an issue - looking back though, I agree that a hold to shoot would be more intuitive. I initially planned for power-ups as well, unfortunately I reached my object limit so I had to do some trimming.

I really like the smoothly animated sprites, the character designs are great. It's a bit of a mouse killer with the constant clicking, it'd be nice to be able to hold down the button to shoot. Maybe having random power ups dropped around the level to tempt the player to risk being hit for the reward of better weapons / bonus points etc.
