This is a fun little brewing game, though it is hard to tell (from the jam version) if I scored anything or not. I'll play the bug fixed version after the jam. But it is a fun concept (though my computer runs like a brick when I try playing it XP )
I have uploaded a bugfixed version. In this new version the stairs should work even on weaker hardware.
The visual style, the music and the concept are all very nice, but the movement is very choppy and it's very hard to control the character. Getting the cat is a pain, and i get stuck in the book stairs almost always.
It's a pitty, because the game looks really cool!
First off: Thank you for your honesty, and taking your time to try the game.
Secondly: It is our first project in the GODOT engine and we do not have much experience in it but the stairs might be an engine problem. It works for nearly everybody except 3 people we know of.... And yes, we know the movement will need a rework...
thanks again for the feedback!
If you have any ideas for us to make the game better, please let us know on discord(https://discord.gg/wv4YSkR)
It's really good for a first project, I'm really impressed! Keep up the good work :)
It's a cool idea to be a witch in this kind of game.
The game looks nice and the audio has a great magical touch just as you would imagine in a witch-themed game.
Sadly, I couldn't go up the second book so I couldn't craft anything :(
We thank you very much for taking you time and giving us feedback, if you have the time we would appreciate if you would join our discord server (https://discord.gg/wv4YSkR) and help us solve the problem with the books.
Thank you again for the help, have a nice day!
