How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object ?
Your actions, if successful, lead to devestation. You fill in your employee card at the start and the art style is based on Matisse's paper cut-outs (i.e. card.)

Very good graphics and sound. I didn't quite understand how the maps are used, but in general everything is at the highest level, with the exception of a special object. The topic is disclosed abstract but clearly. Good game.

Developer

thank you for playing our game :D I'm glad that the polish shone through. We kept the gameplay pretty straightforward

And the maps were supposed to also have a random generation element to them but we needed to reduce scope - well done for spotting that

I must admit at first I was confused how to game fit the theme but that message at the ending got a good chuckle out of me. I really love the simple but vibrant art that really creates a zen-like effect despite the horror of what you're really doing. Great job!

Developer

thanks for playing our game :D we were hoping for that sort of reaction ☺️☺️

Cool. The idea of both card as id and monster in a simulation really amazing concept. The visual is nice too.  Adding/adjusting elements(like healing those are dying or giving extra food) in the scene in between sim, just a random idea.

Hi, i like the game idea, the graphics are good together,

maybe you can make that we can have a impact when the simulation runs

Hi RH thanks for playing our game :D

We decided to keep it simple and polished for the jam but yes there is lots of potential in the design

Man, I'm starting to regret not staying in school to get my PhD. This was neat. I learned that cannibalism is bad for sustainability.

Had a pretty good time. Made a bunch of little guys kill each other. Then I just created a utopia for one little guy and kept him as a pet. Very cozy.

I wish there was some more interaction to the game though. While the graphics and audio are great it does feel a bit boring just staring at the simulation after a while.

Thanks so much! Cozy is definitely the vibe we were aiming for so glad you enjoyed it!

Hear you about the interaction, something we definitely wanted to have more of but it was our first time coding in Unity so by the time we figured out the basics we ran out of time aha!

Yeah, I get that. I'm also pretty new to Unity and they make some things way harder than they need to be.

Thanks for your kind words :)
