Ive done the game but my zip file is too big

Ive been trying to upload my game but when I click save and view it says I have too many files 1604>1000. I dont know what that means and I dont know how to fix it

I somehow submited it even though it said the file size is too big. I don't know if that will cause problems

I know I'm late and I'm no wizard here because I'm just a pixel artist and composer, but I found this. https://itch.io/docs/creators/html5#zip-file-requirements

another thing to try is using 7zip (it's free), it can chop your zips into smaller files

I was able to upload it as a web game! I hope people can play it now!
