Good submission for your first jam, I had a resolution issue with my monitors, I couldn't get it to show up all of the text in the game either fullscreen or windowed. Just something to look into.
i like the idea you went for but some things you could improve in my opinion are placing the particles behind everything else, and try to look into using sprites in particles instead of squares so you could use sprites of snowflakes for example
I did use a particle system for the snow but couldn't get a image to look nice.
This is my first published game ever and it would be nice for some feedback.
