Good start. I included it in my compilation video of all of the Jamington games, if you’d like to take a look :)

@wolfmother Thanks for the feedback.

I had lots of features in mind while working on it, like, different types of buildings generating different resources that are required to sustain population. I also thought of roads and AI controlled traffic in between them. But due to the lack of time, I couldn't work on them art all.

Currently, player can build and upgrade buildings just by a click of button given that they have required resources. I am planning to give it a little depth. I am planning to change that into a little idle tap sub game where different types of resources are required for different buildings along with workers hired on a payroll that work when player is both online and offline. And while player is online, they can tap to accelerate the building process. This way, player have more engagement and decide to where better invest resources and hire workers for which building.

Ambitious! A SimCity tribute in 24 hours. Very cool.

Good points:

  • Isometric graphics are clean and crisp
  • Interface is reasonably intuitive and makes sense
  • More complete than I would have expected based on the timeframe
Bad points:
  • As mentioned by others, layering issues with isometrics
  • I would question exactly where you're going with the mechanics -- pretty much the only option you have is incrementally building more and more structures. SimCity works because you have to weigh up your options and balance different needs (transport, power, water etc). Is that where you are going?
  • What's the twist going to be? Is it going to be a straight city-building simulator or are you going to subvert the genre somehow?
This is very cool and I would love to see you keep working on this in future. :D

@Mojko - I know about the visuals.. didn't get time to fix them.

Objective of the game is to build more and more buildings and increase population and money :)

The house visuals are a bit glitched and I dont really understand what to do :/ Nice graphics though !

Is it like a cookie clicker?
