AMAZEBALLS! Check out my very original and epic speedrun

Very nice!

Lmfao thats hilarious. The sliding level was fun

GG

Very nice

Nice little game, I enjoyed the story, probably just wish instead of smalltalk we got to get attached more to the characters, and also more features with the magnifying glass

I liked it, feels like a mash between overcooked and cafe world

wdym?

Ah I see, sorry I haven't watched it!

Haha thanks but we geniunly do not care how many ratings we get 🙂. We just want people to play and hopefully finish the game just so that our time and effort feels worth it. I played your game, was really fun! Classic store-vendor type game that you would find on flash game websites 🙂

Fun classic store-vendor type game with easy controls and good execution. Graphics were a bit lacking but the actual game and gameplay was fun 🙂 Good job!

The overall issue with youtubers who post their games on their channels before rating periods are over, if they truly want non-biased reviews they should post their videos after the rating periods are over, since the people who genuiunly check out his page are probably a bit on the "older side" 🙂. I feel like he bamboozled himself, but it's great that he's removing it from the jam atleast. Means he understands the consiquences of letting his fans vote on his games

Thanks for playing our game, and finally someone likes our gameplay concept hehe 🙂 Most people HATED that you had to go to different timelines to solve the riddles since it made everything so much harder. Also I checked out your steam page, I'm pretty amazed that you've been able to create that with friends or co-workers or whoever you work with 🙂. The graphics and effects are stunning, hopefully you get some media attention towards that game

Thank god you actually posted a picture of your game, definetly makes it really tempting to click on🙂

Anyways thanks for posting your game, I tried it out. Fun idea just wish it had a bit better execution but obviously that's hard in a jam 🙂. Thanks for trying out our game aswell! 🙂

Thanks for your nice comments 🙂, your game & tschlomp's game were definetly two of the games that stood out to me this jam, the only other one I can think of was this game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/724166

Your game definetly had the best gameplay execution out of all the games and Tschompl's game had a really cool gameplay concept with the aging and one of the best astethical games of the jam

Thanks for your nice comments 🙂, your game & joshua's game were definetly two of the games that stood out to me this jam, the only other one I can think of was this game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/724166

Joshua's game definetly had the best gameplay by far and your game had one of the most interesting artstyles and astethics with a really cool gameplay concept with the aging process while you killed 🙂. A honor to be one of your favourites!

Great game concept with funny characters, just wish it had better execution! It's really awkward having to go downstairs in order to rewind the tapes and all, wish that was a completly seperate scene / room to be more "detached" from the customers. Also when you go up to the stalls I really wish that only rewinded tapes were actually shown, took me a while to figure out that my tapes werent rewinded.

Anyways good job on the game, all around it was fun to play

Our game the wiseman's clock is a 2D/3D puzzle adventure game with tons of interesting characters, a world to explore and save and a lore to experience.

The game takes about 30 minutes to an hour to complete, it's rather short and is linear.

You can check out the game here: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/724835

If you know any cool games from this jam you wish to share or maybe share your own, you can post them in the comments

Thanks for playing our game and congratioulations on finishing it! Thanks for your feedback, we would also think a recall ability would be benefital, but there is actually a "speedrun" strat, if you go back to the first time (the ? time) and then to the time you want you'll be teleported back to the house, it was found by one of our developer's brother hehe.

Cool game, the astethic is really nice although the camera could use some more work, wish it was a bit faster and that it bugged out sometimes

Hey thanks for trying out our game! 1930 is the hardest part of the game so it's understandable if you get stuck there! most people do. Thanks for your feedback, we've not heard this from anyone else so we'll take this into consideration for future dialogue systems

Hey colter thanks a lot for playing and finishing our game, you're now the 6th person to ever finish it, congratioulations! We're really happy you enjoyed the game and we agree with ur feedback, although we wanted the game to be a bit of a challenge since it's so short hehe. Anyways we really hoped we could've polished it up more but time management is hard! Thanks a lot again, happy jamming.

Thanks for playing it! We understand the game is a bit unpolished, we really wish we could spend more time on it, and I fully agree, would be great if maybe the movement speed was a bit higher or the distance between locations a bit shorter, anyways, hope you had fun

Cool! Good job, that's usually where most people quit because it takes some time to figure out haha, which is understandable

you did..? I haven't seen any, anyways if you played it I hope you enjoyed it! how far did you get?

Damn, this was actually an incredible game even though it's really simple

- Great graphics, great astethics, I love the background aswell

- Great gameplay mechanics, something I haven't seen in this jam thus far, so clever that you actually kill enemies by rewinding your kaset

The only thing I wish you did differently is completly removing the shooting mechanic! Just make the player kill stuff by rewinding his kaset, it's a lot more fun and rewarding to get a kill streak by using your kaset. I barely even used the shooting because it was way more fun just rewinding into the enemies. Bravo for such a unique concept and brilliant execution

Our game is about a mustache man who can travel in time using a clock given by The Wiseman. It's a puzzle adventure game with characters and different types of environments. Game takes about 30 minutes to complete, would be fun if you completed the whole of it! (Only 5 people have actually completed it thus far)

You can check it out here: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/724835

Thanks for apologizing :-)

Fun classic space shooter, had great audio and great graphics, although I wish there was some sort of impact effects because when enemies shot me I didn't even notice :/ Would also be pretty cool if there actually was some sort of rewind mechanic in place in the game and not only be story-wise. Anyways good job on this game! Just wish it was a little bit longer (2-3 levels more maybe) and with some more enemy variety! All around great game

If you want a game who's "different" you can try our game out, from the looks of it there doesn't seem to be anyone with a similar gameplay structure and mechanic as our game (not necessarily a good thing, the game can be annoying at times)

You can check it out here: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/724835

You can also check out these games who are my favourites and whom are the only ones I voted 5/5's of I believe, they were story driven similar to our game but had a different type of gameplay structure and different mechanics:

For our game The Wisemans Clock we made the game open sourced including all sound effects and 3D models, these types of resources are good for beginners to use and since brackeys is a tutorial channel, it'd be neat if people posted their open sourced code and assets here so that people can take inspiration and see how certain games work (if they're interested in a specific game)

You can find our open sourced project here: https://github.com/Mojko/brackeysjam-2020.2

And our game here: https://gerrydos.itch.io/the-wisemans-clock

If anyone want to use our assets for projects they're free to grab, we don't plan to use any of our assets in the future

Happy jamming!

Don't get me wrong, the game was fun to play, but only for a short while because it eventually got a bit repetitive to just run towards the button, thanks for clearing the gun up, maybe it could be replaced with something like a hammer to indicate that it's supposed to break the blocks? At first I thought there would be enemies! Anyways good job

Hey thanks for playing and thanks for your feedback, you gave quite some different feedback than other people which is welcome. I'm glad you liked it

Great astethics, love the background and the setting, I actually had a dream about creating a game exactly like this but on a bus instead of a train, the game had an interesting design, I just wish it was a bit more polished, it has a few spelling mistakes and some bugs (like if you talk to someone and then rewind their bubble will stick), it was also quite hard to point out who did it based on the pixel characters due to them being very low res, I wish their name would be above the pixel characters in the end, since I mostly remembered all their names.

Overall it was good though, it was interesting and made me want to finish it, short aswell which is what a jam game should aim to be. Good job!

I must say I'm not really sure what to do in this game, I kept running into the button but it didn't feel like there was any win condition? Maybe I didn't play enough, but the gameplay felt a bit repetitive due to just running in a straight line and shooting whenever possible, the shooting wasn't as responsive as I had hoped either

The graphics and the audio was really good though, they were pleasent to look at and listen to and I liked how the environmental changes had sound effects

Good job on this game! a lot of art and effects for 7 days, just wish the gameplay was more refined

Very interesting game that's for sure, amazing graphics, graphical effects and sound effects. The lasers were extremely juicy and the ships flying by were extremely well made (although they made my computer lag a bit). Impressive that this has been done in only 7 days

The only real culprit with the game was that I didn't really understand the goal, I filled the furnace and shot lasers at the ships but I'm not sure if they took damage or not

All in all, great game, you should be proud over this

Cool trailers nuzzle, how come you made two trailers? Impressive game by the way, I love the graphics
