I thought this was a really good example of a small scale city builder. It had easy placement, a sense of building up as the game continued and had a couple different buildings to cerement that sense of progression.  The visuals are good, though I think it could be improved by having something other then blank space around the zone, maybe some prebuild buildings so it feels like your building within a city or something. That's really the only criticism I could think of, because everything else is on point.

I've played 9 games from the jam so far and this one is the best, hands down. I appreciated the way you presented the tutorial, and you totally nailed the idle/clicker mechanic for the scope. By the end my island was just gas stations haha! With more expansion and maybe a few other downsides to certain buildings, like having too many of one type too close together or something, could make this into a fine little Steam release.

Oh by the way, the popping sound when placing objects seems to be a bit delayed - it has to be IMMEDIATE. The game feel is so close to perfect.

My one actual substantial suggestion would be to make sure we can move the camera to some extent, because opening the menu blocks a huge chunk of vision of the city. It would be nice to build while having the menu open, although granted you could just close it every time you choose a new building.

Wow, I'm a little shocked you think it's the best one you've played so far. Everyone in the jam was super talented and I'm glad I could be part of it. Thank you so much! I'm really proud of how much we got done. <3

I've been talking to the artist that worked with me on the game and a producer friend of ours about how we could expand it for a steam release and our consciences lined up with your feelings. Needs more buildings, scaling costs based on the number you own, and interaction between them. Needs more staples of the idle genre with upgrades/ascension/transcension, etc. We're also looking at adding the ability to basically add more plots/expand your island, and being able to move the camera would be a cool addition. Point taken on the pop sound, should be a pretty quick fix.
