Initially I had high hopes for the submission "FatGuys". While unoriginal, the submission indeed had a nice cake as a cover, with a pleasing blue gradient.

Upon running this game, I was greeted by head not quite unlike a character from a well known Fox series. However, I was initially confuzzled. There were no controls or options listed. No stated goals. CAKES WERE DROPPING! What to do? Luckily my gamer senses indicated i should use the left and right arrow keys to move.

Upon several cakes dropping, I noticed the faint "missed" counter in the top left of the screen begin incrementing. Huzzah! I have discovered a game mechanic, yet to be explained. Using my prefrontal cortex, I deduced that perhaps I should catch the cakes. Upon doing so, my score indicated in the top right of the screen began to increment by 100.

However the cakes began to drop faster, until I could not catch them because I move as slothfully as the character I was representing. Perhaps because I ate too much cake. The game ended after missing 8 cakes, with a score of 1600.Game Over

The end of my cake massacre :(
Overall, I was mildly entertained by the submission, but I was not motivated to perfect the game. While it does have a little, je ne sais quoi, it cannot even be bothered to have sound or music, so I say, was auch immer.

While the game does indeed include cake in it, I cannot say that I was impressed. There needs to be more cake. WHERE IS MY TIRAMISU? MY CHEESECAKE! MY BLACK FOREST CHOCOLATE CAKE!

Falling cakes? A head of another character? A generic "GAME OVER"? Bah.

Disappointing.
