  • I love the setting/story (reminiscent of a lot of anime, but calls out all of those tropes) and the general attentiveness to creating an inclusive gaming space (none of the others mentioned that). I don't know if these really count as visuals, but I personally like the style of the instruction sheet. I'm not fully clear I understand the gameplay or object of the game, but I like the idea of this very much.
  • This was a nice one shot rpg that was very easy to pick up and play quickly, even with people were not previously that familiar with what an rpg is. I think you made a successful hack of Lasers & Feelings. I appreciated the random tables for getting things going quickly. For the game we played we used those tables exclusively to set the adventure and it mostly worked well. We also generated all characters using them which gave us a fun a different party to go through the game with that forced players to get into their character more and really think about what a, for example, teenage talking dog might do. I appreciated the call out for inclusive play and safety tools. The teenage Voltron like assembly was interesting. We had some difficulty with just coming up with actions that should be rolled as heroic events more so than teen events, but that may be a problem more of player creativity than something with the rules themselves. The ability to do flashbacks and swap robot with teen was very useful and I am glad you included it. Without that our game would have become broken and the adventure likely would have not succeeded and been more of a frustrating experience rather than a pleasant one. This is defnitely a good filler rpg game that I could see being played at day long game sessions between games or at conventions. Being light on setting and story yet coupled with the overall teenage angst theme and random tables really forces both the players and the GM to think creatively.
  • This game had a really fun concept with a lot of flavor in every aspect of the game. All of the mechanics took the teen theme and ran with it. When we played we struggled a little but with stats quickly shifting from Robot to Teen and not wanting to make a bunch of flashbacks in a row to shift them back. But we were able to defeat an alien invading the mall with some sick skateboard tricks!

I really appreciate the time you put into reading and playing my game. I struggle with conceptualizing how game mechanics might impact play so this feedback is super useful.
