Thanks for the comment. I uploaded a new version recently with a bit better in game tutorial- I noticed a few people I had play test got stuck creating a long enough bridge- key is holding down the V/L key (or X button on a controller) - the longer you hold it, the longer the bridge!
Interesting game, found the controls a bit challenging. I included it in my LibGDX Jam compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :)
Thanks!! Yes, I had planned to have in game hints and to show either key controls or controller buttons- but ran out of time on that!
Awesome game! I love the puzzle design. Jigsaw (third level) already gave me quite a headache. The tutorial could be a little bit more fleshed out, e.g. show the buttons available etc. No other complaints :)
I really struggled to build the bridge, I seemed to be only be able to build one piece. Other wise I like how it played reminded me of lemmings killing them repeatedly.
I was initially confused because the relative positions of the keys on the instructions didn't match where they are on the keyboard. It's quite a brain twisting game and you have to be really quick to get all 3 clones. I like the consistent theme that runs through the game.
Great concept with the clones and the space van! Really hard though, I don't think I ever rescued three of the hostages! Maybe I'm just too slow...
Good work though.
Thanks! That's been a consistent piece of feedback- the clone is fast! I'm hoping to revisit this game post game jam, maybe add a few levels and tweak game play based on feedback- think I'll experiment with slowing the clone down. I was shooting for that twitch platformer feel- but it is such a fine line between fast/frantic and frustrating!
Nice and fun puzzle game there! Really cool concept and nice graphics. Though I feel that the clone could move a little slower..
Yea, it's almost a bit too fast I think...I was debating after my last play through of slowing down the player just a touch. Thanks for the nice feedback!
Easily the most complete, polished game I've seen so far! menus, help screen, controller support, awesome!
plays really nicely too! my one complaint the clones move crazy quick making delicate positioning with a gamepad tricky, was better with keys
I'll give you a hint if you want to cheat- it creates a plain text save file in the folder the exe or jar is run in...Look for NumLives: ;)
i like the clones - theyr'e cute!
Noooooo, I was in the level where a 'giant rock' is coming and I lost all clones. The last one (before this level) is very very hard, you need to manipulate time, bridges, the car, the stones, bombs, everything. I got all the 3 clones in all levels until the giant rock.
I'll try again, amazing puzzle game, good job with level design!
Thanks- glad you enjoyed it.
The guys at Village Sound (villagesound.ca) did a great job of the sound track, I agree ;)
For those who haven't tried it, Village Sound also through together a nice trailer for it which we've posted on youtube:
What an inventive game! I really like the fast-paced puzzle solving, especially in the later levels when things start to get tense. Very cool retro style with a great soundtrack too! Fun stuff.
Fun game, cool concept, a lot of levels to beat. Graphics could use some work though, but it's a game jam :)
