So brainstorming for the last hour and a half, I came up with and shot down many ideas.

Any theme related to space and life in space is bound to get your head explode with ideas !

Finally after lot yeah may be and nah's, i am settling down on tower defense kind of setting, with some variations ofcourse! ;)

Now time to draw on paper and finalize the deal before i start the prototyping phase.

I am concerned about the scope though.. being inexperienced in game dev and jams, i am not sure how long or how short will this take me! Lets see!

So Two days into Jam, The basic set up of my game :The Colony is ready!

It took quite a bit of time as i had to implement tiles and drag and drop of tiles and some other UI stuff I had no experience about.

The current Gameplay is this:

You have colonized a planet, now you must prosper and save it from others!

Drag and drop interface to drop SpaceOil diggers , Food and Your attack ships!

You must maintain a good balance between the 3 to make sure your BASE isnt blown up by enemies!

My major concerns are my bad graphics!

Also I think that i am asking player to do to much, with managing all the three. I will soon finalize what stuff to be incorporated as the final part of my game after some testing with all the various scenarios in my head!

Current to do tasks for now are:

Add a better Enemy Management

Add more Player as well as Enemy Units.

Finalize and Balance the gameplay

do better art! (..seems difficult! :D)
