Did you work in a team?
I'm just one guy who designed, coded and drew everything. I used a sound asset pack and free music. I had tons of fun doing it!
Was the resolution a challenge?
The nature of a retro racing game like this means i'd normally need to rely on a lot of sprite scaling, but at such a low resolution the results got ugly fast. I ended up scaling the sprites manually, drawing each resized frame by hand to make sure the important details remained. I was surprised at how playable a game like this is at this resolution. I definitely enjoyed the jam and will do it again next year!
What did you learn?
This is the 2nd jam i've ever joined and i'm gaining tons of experience completing projects. I"ve always wanted to make a pseudo 3D racing game like this and it was the perfect opportunity. Way more math then i'm used to lol, i'm definitely more of an artist then programmer but i think everything came out really well.

I loved it. It evoked Outrun in all the best ways. The branching pathways really added to the replayability—I had to see what the other routes looked like. The spritework was gorgeous (the backgrounds were impressively evocative despite how few pixels they were made up of). At no point did I feel like the resolution was holding me back; you did a great job of making it stay readable despite the frantic pace.
This game gaves me a Crusin USA vibe :D
I love the radio haha, graphics, control everything!
Very good Job :)
