Themes
No. The idea came to me when I was looking at an art asset

Tools
I used Godot 4 with a base resolution of 64x64. For the art, I used the 1-Bit Pack by Kenney.nl, which has every sprite in the size of 16x16. This limited the game to only having two lanes of road on the lower screen, the rest was used for the scenery and the HUD. But I think it turned out very nice.

Lessons
I had barely made any 2D games. Developing this one helped me understand the 2D side of Godot a bit better.

Everything was cool until greed and need for speed ruined my ride. Just like real life. Nice, finished game, everything is clear, care for the player is felt. Love these Kenney sprites, I’ve used them a lot myself.
