The game is fun, but extremely difficult! It's hard to dodge bullets. Maybe the character controls could be faster or there should be some kind of a short time shield activated by a button to deflect some of the bullets. Or maybe a health bar with 3 hit points. I didn't feel 3 lives enough. It's very easy to die. I had to defeat some enemies in a cheap way.

I like the sound effects and the music, also the glow effect and parallax scrolling is nice too!

I will be tweaking the controls after the jam - I think the lift is faster than it was before, takes a little getting used to - but so did the arcade titles of the 1980s :)

Once you get the hang of it the 1st level becomes quite easy...

Exciting, bombastic action. You nailed the real retro arcade feel.

I feel the controls could have been more responsive, but then that is part of the challenge. It just seemed to take slightly too long for the jetpack's lift to kick in. I also struggled with the camera when moving left to mop up remaining enemies (which was a bit frustrating, but true to its origins).

It was just too hard for me, too. I'm not much of a fan of challenging action games. I enjoyed the experience, though.
