A nicely addictive tower defence game with a cool and unique thematic twist - I really liked it!
Really fun! For the sake of time, I limited myself to 4 quarters unlike the 12 quarters in a standard football game ;) It felt a bit easy with the upgrades staying a consistent price - having the upgrade cost go up a bit each time might add a little extra challenge.
edit: Apparently I left this running in the background so I managed to catch the last down on the 12th quarter and watch it roll over to 1st quarter, 1st down and keep going ;)
What an amazing game, a "plant vs zombie" alike, really cool, I liked the background story =p, the gameplay is very cool. although I missed some sounds during gameplay, but anyway the game is so fun, I would love to see you working on this game after the jam, has a lot of potential, very creative game, I loved !
Nice tower defense with a unique theme. It's fun! Some sound effects and UI polish would make this a complete game. Once I got a few upgraded flame throwers at the entrance it seems like you can go on forever. Just peeked in the other tab... I'm at 5th quarter, 9th down and a big red stain at the entrance. A few of the fast ones make it to my third flame thrower. :-)

I managed to play quite long (I can't recall the level because my wife was talking to me :-P), a bit of sound effects would have been nice to have but I understand the time restrain, especially if you joined late the jam.
I found sometimes hard to place turret, when there were still alternative ways open but the game didn't allow me to do it. I am sure that if you keep working on the game it might come out quite interesting :-)
