This is a really interesting concept. In my mind it didn't quite work, but there are a lot of interesting ideas here.

The sparse, abstract storytelling is "neat idea, didn't work for me" in a nutshell. I only understand what's happening in the slightest because of the description on the page. There's a dead girl and a bunny rabbit and a scientist guy and spaceships and some kind of monsters that come in multiple sizes? The visual storytelling isn't enough to carry the narrative on its own, and there are no words to explain.

The crawling section was really chilling because of the shift in gameplay, but I didn't have enough context from the scene itself or anything before or after to understand what was really happening or what it meant.

The art is a bit of a mixed bag. The style stands out, and some of the backdrops are really nice, but it's hard to tell platforms from backgrounds in some sections, and the player sprite just looks odd. I'm not sure about the enemies either, which can only be described as vague-looking.

A lot of the music is really quiet, and some of the sound effects oddly chosen.

Platforming felt okay. Not amazing, but not bad either. I did feel the main character was a tad slow, and wasn't sure why my punches could hit enemies so far away. It's also possible to spam punches much faster than the animation can play. But the level design is generally pretty good, and there aren't any frustrating parts that wear out their welcome.

The shmup sections were pretty well implemented, with a transition that makes sense, but on my browser the up and down arrows scrolled the page which made playing them frustrating. I also realized pretty quickly I could just zip past the enemies. The boss shmup section was an interesting change in pace, though, and one of my favourite sections in the game.

I made it to the section with broken platforms and couldn't figure out where to go; everything seems to be a dead end. Because of how abstract this game is, I wasn't sure if that was deliberate or not.

I like what this game was trying to do. I think it has some solid ideas, and some of them did hit the mark. But overall it has that feeling of an ambitious, unique concept not quite realized to me.

Very surprising and weird game! I like the abstract storytelling and multiple secrets to find. Combat could have had more impact, it felt a little floaty.

This was an interesting and surprising game! It's a little rough around the edges for sure... there could be more feedback when attacking enemies, getting damaged, etc. The controls are solid, but don't stand out. The audio all works well enough, but again, there could be a bit more feedback when battling enemies there too.

The graphics are really interesting... feels almost like an Atari game, but as if it came from an alternate universe  where the Atari could pull off more sprites and animation, plus additional special effects.

What really grabbed me were some of the interesting moments through out... spoilers going forward, so if anyone is reading this who hasn't played, maybe stop here...  The story itself felt very abstract, especially with very minimal dialogue. But some scenes really worked well. The crawling in the darkness for instance. Another thing that surprised me was the whole section after what I thought was the end of the game! I had even closed the tab, but when I reloaded it, the game was still at that that moment! Going into a whole new area after that was both surprising and mysterious.

What I like most about this game was the atmosphere and experimental storytelling. I think this has a lot of potential! Great work!

Can't tell when im getting damaged or causing damage... I didnt pass the boss, since I just died from trying to hit him on the little x's ...

Overall: controls well and is a good mixup and has good atmosphere and cutscenes, but is just missing some work on feedback and direction for player.

Also I could just jump over or pass most bad guys.

Pretty good game, the punches and kicks feel nice and it even has a spinning kick animation. I think the transition from platforming to shmup is very well done. They are very well integrated together. The controls feel good and the levels feel fun to traverse.

For boss fights, adding a health bar or something would be nice. Sometimes, I didn’t know if I was actually doing damage to the enemies or not; for platforming parts I can see the stagger, but in shmup, there doesn’t seem to be much of a reaction. Finally, more storytelling elements and focus on the magical girl aspect would be nice, as I didn’t recognize what was going on with the girl boss enemy at all. Overall, great job!

The art stlye is very indie, and i like indie games. The bright grin direction feels unique in this game jam and the plot hock feels promising. It's quite impressive to have cutscenes

There are several problems: like the camera moves slower than character, the key events in the shmup make the webpage scroll. and i triggered a problem that the character stuck on ceiling after leaving the shmup section. then there is another platform that i feel it's suppsoed tobe a leap of faith but it turns out the character just fall out of camera view.

i have to say the game attracts my interest about how the story goes. but i keep hitting bugs that requires me to restart the game. I guess i will retry the game later.

Thank you for the feedback!!! I am curious what you mean by "the key events in the shmup make the webpage scroll", and where the leap of faith is located.

During the shmup section, sometimes the webpage scroll up and down when i was pressing keys.
