- Technical Implementation: I could not play the game. Cannot start it. Tried every key. If I am missing something, would be good to know. Relevance to the topic: Though the game might seem to be following the topic it seems to trick player with how theme was used. It seems like mouse buttons were used to click other of the 8 directional inputs. I am wondering if the game was preplanned and this is how they decide to tweak it to match the theme. Game Design: Though I can see what the game wants the player to do, being unable to play it makes it difficult to understand what the overall design was. Visuals: Love them. Everything seems to be in place.
- A great game! There was only one problem with the same control button picture for two actions, but all the other aspects are very well designed.
- There is no guidance on which keys or buttons to use. It didn't work out to play.
- Puzzle-solving by dynamically remapping mouse buttons is a brilliant concept, and I think this game has a lot of promise! But I also feel that it needs much further work to fulfill that promise. I solved the first level by assigning the mouse buttons to left and right jumps; I don't know if that was the intended solution but it already seemed like I was experimenting with the game mechanics before I'd learned the basics (i.e., simply how to move around). Perhaps the first level could be more of a tutorial and be more basic. I never finished the second level as I never figured out how to duck to get to the Swap icon or the portal. ◣ and ◢ icons just led to the player walking regularly, with no noticeable difference to the regular left and right icons. The visual presentation needs work as well. The fadeout at the start of the game lasts too long, and the menu buttons look too "default" and don't go with the overall dark aesthetic. The tileset you used is nice, but I'm seeing gaps between some of the tiles on my screen. Two of the actions the player can choose from at the start of the level have the same icon (◣), making it very confusing for the player. Nice music, btw!
- A very interesting take on the idea: I can see you can do a lot with this idea, and even make a complete game using it. The visuals were also pretty nice. I did have some trouble understanding where some platforms began and ended, and what to do at the end. Overall, the idea and the technical execution were impressive.
