Why the confusing rules?

Allowing people to continue building a game they already did for a previous jam makes me not really interested in joining this jam. Especially since there are completely different rules. What if I use a game from one minijam, and other designers use games from others, and then we're supposed to rate games based on their use of the limitation while also knowing what limitation applies to what game? And not to mention the fact that a game started from scratch has to compete with potentially ultra high-polished games that had significantly more time spent on them. Just my feedback. I don't expect the published rules to change.

There won’t be a rating category for limitation for Major Jam. Submissions that are extensions from previous jams must also include a dev log documenting the changes. You bring up a good point about mixing the two, as they are distinct categories. I will make sure this is in place for the jam start, and clarify the rules section. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey, thanks for the reply ReadyMajor! I appreciate the clarification. So you're saying games that are 100% new for this jam will be in one category, and games that are a continuation from a previous jam will be a separate category? That makes a lot more sense. Cool.

Yep I added a multiple choice field to the submission form. This will allow the two to be filtered, or so I’m told!
