Really liked the psychedelic/glitchy aesthetic and found it pretty fun to play!
Fun game that definitely gave me the feel of a 90s shooter. I certainly know what a white square with a smiley reminds me of, and given those neat color changes with the weapons I don't think I'm far off :)

This game is super pleasing to the eye--sometimes. Some art feels like it could be better, such as the white square with a smiley face in the middle.
Thanks for playing, and glad you enjoyed it. I sort of see what you're saying about the art for the "keys", but their appearance is actually 100% intentional. Along with the rest of the game's colorful aesthetic, they're meant to be a little "wink wink, nudge nudge" reference, which I don't expect everyone (or maybe anyone) to get. Maybe ask yourself what a white square with a smiley face on it reminds you of. :)
