This feels very much like a standard fanfictiondotnet/AO3/WattPad story. It is written similar. The characters are similar. The plot is similar. All that's to say the stakes are low, the narration is meandering, and the conflicts are underdeveloped.
THAT SAID, there are some utterly fascinating tidbits within the text. Sinister and heartbreaking themes that I'm not even sure the narrative realizes it's touching on.
Flowers is not a particularly well-written story. And yet, there is a certain peculiarity here that makes it a great target for FVN literary criticism.
