I DID IT!! WOOP... got the balloons and taught that nightmare a lesson! even found a semi invisible balloon that I couldn't collect! enjoyed it, for those that got lost.... its a maze! your supposed to get lost! however the game was missing that satisfying BOING noise when mushroom bounced and not sure what the 'otherworld' was for? the biggest thing for me was the UI right in the middle of the screen so I couldn't see where I was going. Apart from that, good game!
I felt lost most of the time and eventually gave up once I couldn't find the last three balloons after searching for about 15 minutes. I feel the fact that everything looks the same doesnt really help, and I didn't really understand the world swapping mechanic. There also isn't any real punishment for being caught by the monster, as you just get put back at the beginning. I do like the mushroom character, though!
I got super lost! :P Could've done with a map or identifiable landmarks. Also, pressed disable music and instead quit the game :( I can see the potential in this game, I originally thought you switched worlds and it would shift the layout so you could pass/access other parts of the game, because I just kept bumping into the wall and seeing a balloon on the other side and couldn't find a lever for it. :) Good job though!
Thanks for the feedback, funny enough I was actually playing your Game Jam entry(Existence Is Pain) it is good so far. About the menu, I was trying to sort it out but was sad when I realized that it didn't show up when I pressed "P"... I think I know why now(press "Esc"). Sorry for inconvenience but thanks for playing anyway!
