What you use to design the art, be it a mobile, tablet, pc or laptop is not relevant as long as it is digital and meets the quality requirements.

We are looking for 4 talented 2D artists to join our team of 23 dedicated freelancers on a large, long term project.

*This is initially an unpaid position!* Until a prototype is developed. After the successful production of prototype all positions will be become  fully paid for the duration of production (3.5 - 4 years) including a large one time bonus for work done on the prototype.

The project is a 4X space, RTS, simulation game, combining well known mechanics such as empire building, trade, war, ship building and diplomacy with many new next gen mechanics designed specifically to enhance realism, tactical superiority, logistics, stealth, research, exploration and nearly all areas of the genre.

Requirements - Working with the creative writers, artists will be required to create visual representations of alien races, ships, materials, weapons etc as per descriptions and develop these concepts into workable reference for the 3D team to develop further. Designs should be realistic in proportion and of a sci-fi nature as per the theme.

This is initially an unpaid position and as such you will not be required to work on this full time (we all need to make a living).

If this position interests you contact me on discord (Smudge#8763).

I DID IT!! WOOP... got the balloons and taught that nightmare a lesson! even found a semi invisible balloon that I couldn't collect! enjoyed it, for those that got lost.... its a maze! your supposed to get lost! however the game was missing that satisfying BOING noise when mushroom bounced and not sure what the 'otherworld' was for? the biggest thing for me was the UI right in the middle of the screen so I couldn't see where I was going. Apart from that, good game!

We appreciate your great review! thanks! glad you liked it. We turned the theme of the jam into the aim of the game sort of, which was the plan from the start... the hover like feel was not planned from the start :D originally we were going to use a normal car and the pedestrians were going to be human! but running people over is just not ethical so we changed it to hover cars and aliens, I think it worked well. Thanks again :)

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed our game :) as you know its hard to implement all the things you would like to in such a short period but we did our best, obviously with a little more polish we could have addressed the issues and added more functionality like scores etc. We plan on continuing the game after the jam so the feedback is just great, thanks again.

p.s. before the navigation was implemented properly I had 200 pedestrians free-roaming the street... nightmare!

Appreciate the comments! yes the lamppost collision is off, we know this but were not sure why as the post has no collider on it!?! the collision is set to the mesh so maybe a calculation error or something we missed. We wanted the car to be 'floaty' mainly for added difficulty and for an element of player skill to be involved in the driving. Glad you had fun with it!

This reminds me of the days of the gameboy colour... ah the nostalgia! A bit frustrating though, maybe a visual indication at the edge of the screen when a plant becomes critical would have helped.

Good concept, good game, lots of fun here swinging about with an energy grappling laser, fairly difficult though mind. A bit of maneuverability whilst swinging would have been helpful but yeah! Great!

An interesting concept, I love the modifiers from the plants. I played for a while and I wonder is there a win condition? also a visual indicator for a plant in distress that is off screen would have been helpful. Interesting game good job!

Very peculiar pixel art style, and I like the concept but found that I was standing around a lot waiting while the anger meter was rising, perhaps a lower job interval to start with would have been better. Overall great concept Good job!

Not too sure what I was meant to be doing here, but love the art and sounds and I think this game game has the potential to go a lot further. I second what Ducky Quackington says but given the time constraints I think you did a good job!
