Media Game Jam Highlights: 

- 72 Hour game jam 
- Topic: Media literary and competence 

Submission Deadline: 23 November 2023 

-  Entirely online
- Participants from Germany and South Asia (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka) 
- Participants can work singly or in groups of up to 3 persons 
- Games developed will be either browser-based or print-and-play 
- The games will be available through the project website of Digiverse 
– How to Read Media and linked through Goethe-Institut websites and social media channels 
- An international jury will finally select the best game developed by the participants. 

Important Dates:
- Media Game Jam Dates: 29 November – 1 December 2023
- Announcement of Media Game Jam South Asia winner: First week of December 2023
- Game publishing on Goethe-Institut website: December 2023 – January 2024
- Media Game Jam winner’s visit to A MAZE. / Berlin 2024

Copyright and other clauses:
Any game made by the developers from South Asia during the Media Game Jam is the developer‘s property. Goethe-Institut claims no rights or ownership of your game. Games developed by participants from Germany in association with Cologne Game Lab will come under the copyright rules of the Cologne Game Lab. 

Any game submitted to Goethe-Institut as part of the Media Game Jam may be used for promotional purposes by the Goethe-Institut without your express permission. The games made during the Media Game Jam will be uploaded to the project website of the Goethe-Institut.

It would be best if you created a significant portion of the game during the jam, but you can use whatever art, audio, or code assets you have the legal right to use. 

No explicitly pornographic, tasteless, discriminatory, or disrespectful content or hate speech is allowed.
The Media Game Jam organizers have the final say in any and all proceedings related to the event.
