Good start for a game and nice upgrades, the character just needs an attacking animation. Being stuck in the ceiling after upwards dash was kinda goofy as well.

I guess the health doesn't work at this point as there was no way to die or refill health. Tried dying to an enemy twice and both times my character just got stuck for a while and then flew into a wall with incredible force and got stuck there lol.

Thanks for checking the game out! There were a number of bugs we got fixed today, and the issue with health was one of them 😅

The jumping was fun to play around with. It's clearly set up to react to your inputs in the right way. And is there a cooldown of some sort on the air friction? It's interesting to feel your inertia change the way it does.

Visuals are clean and made me want to play more. Would love to see a splash screen and more level to explore; it seems like anywhere you go makes you fall off of the map.  Also Cult of the Closed Circuit is such a good name.

Thanks for making this!

Thanks so much, that means a lot! You're definitely not supposed to fall out of the map, thank you so much for reporting that. Apparently the MapData.txt needs to be alongside the .exe, so that's been fixed in the uploads! A main menu and boss dialogue has been added as well, so hopefully the current upload is already a lot more cohesive and game-like than last night.

We're really proud of the quality progress we've made over past jams, so it's awesome that it came through. Thanks for taking the time to play and give feedback :)
