A very lovely little adventure! Made even better when I discovered you can have Luigi running alongside you!
Cheers! I hope you found not than just Luigi! Wario, Waluigi and Daisy can be found as well!
This is probably going to sound like the world's worst creepypasta, but I'm being entirely serious when I say that I can't play the game because whenever I try to enter a level, the screen starts looking like this. I can hear the music and sound effects in the background so I guess I technically can "enter" a level, but it's a bit hard to play anything when the screen looks like this.
Haha! This is really fascinating! I imagine this has to do with browser support for canvas and different blending modes. You could try in a different browser. The latest version of Chrome would probably be optimal.
Thanks for the reply! Very creepy indeed!
Chrome worked. Pretty neat idea for a game, I have to say.
Cheers! Glad it worked. ,:)
I wish I could control the seperate players instead of having them all at once, it makes it very difficult to actually precisely land jumps, especially with no bubbling mechanic like in the NSMB games.
Yeah, there's certainly room to expand on the concept. There are a few ways you can maneuver the characters to keep them in safety while you move one to a new safe area and then open a path for the rest. Certainly part of the difficulty of the game is controlling them with all the same inputs.
Thanks for playing, and commenting! Did you find Mario? :)
Yea, I did ;)
Awesome! :D
This is probably a very creative way to use the whole "The Main Face of the Franchise is not playable" gig of the entire Jam... But it probably would've been better to use a more Pikmin 2/3-ish way of using the Characters, as in you can only control one, while you choose who you wanna be followed by, but otherwise, decent enough game that was made in 3 days.
Thanks for playing! Given more time, I would definitely expand on the ability to control the characters. Probably each world would have a unique controlling methods with matching puzzle levels. As it stands, you only need to make sure all of the characters survive in a few levels that require their different skills at different points. As you say, time was limited, so I didn't have a lot of time to iterate on the ideas!
Did you make it to the end? :)
I definitely would have liked to have built more puzzles that encourage you to use the unique skills of each hero, but for now this will have to do!
Good luck to all the entrants. :)
