Although the lag, I really enjoyed the overall gameplay.
- The gameplay loop is really fun! I enjoyed playing it.
- The lag was pretty noticeable the whole time I was playing, but I was still able to enjoy the gameplay
- The player character fire and the big light blast are pretty well tied to the theme of light and prerequisite
- I liked that there were audio cues whenever something happened
- The sound of getting hit and losing fuel is really similar to the sound of destroying the enemies, and I got confused at the beginning and thought that running into the dudes would kill them and I died a lot really fast
- Overall, fun game jam game!
thanks for testing and enduring the lag for a review :)
running into the dudes kills them while damaging you. It's kinda a suicide attack by them.
But I never explained that mechaic and I totally see that this is very hard to understand and would need some more visual cues to be understandable.
Nice little game for a two day game jam! I wish the water guys despawned after a while because I had a massive hoard chasing me for several minutes lmao
I like the idea, the aspect ratio is not the best and the game lags a lot each shot, the enemy sprites look cool and it’s enjoyable experience, consider adding a loading screen before the scene change to avoid people thinking the game does not start.
thanks for testing. I agree with the things you mention.
I just realized its lagging when I uploaded for the jam and didnt have time to fix. Because its my first ever game jam I felt like I should still just submit to get some experience with it.
Loading screen is a good idea :)
