Great addition of the roguelite mechanics. I spammed everything into repulsions which was fun. The music fits perfectly.

The controls felt very slippery to me (this is intended) and perhaps that's part of the upgrade system.
So often when I died I felt it was due to the slipperiness rather than me (but more likely due to me!)

There's a lot to this for a short jam so absolutely well done. Struggled to get past level 5 but kept coming back for more.

I really enjoyed playing this!

Some small points:

  • I didn't realise that green and purple objects are good, so I just dodged everything for far too long.
  • The powers, especially teleport and repel, have too small of a cooldown, which makes the game a bit too easy.

Very fun game! It feels really polished for a game made in such a short amount of time. Only points of critique from my side are that the green objects are eventually useless because one will always get a purple one before making any amount of progress, and that the game is a bit too easy once you have lots of teleports. I stopped after around 7 minutes of playing because there was no end in sight!

Zapzap is very well done. This is one I could sit for hours trying to get to the highest level or best time.

Things I liked:

  • Intuitive game play
  • simple controls
  • Sound design
  • crt screen effect
  • upgrade system

Things I think could be improved or changed:

  • Click to teleport and hold to slow time.
  • This is probably a me problem, but the first time I played, I didn't realize the green ones were the goal. I think a
  • one-screen tutorial would help.
  • A slower difficulty ramp on the first couple of levels

I had a great time playing this. i wish i could control the whole game with the mouse, like, left click to teleport and right click to slow time. but thats just a personal preference.. the game is awesome..
