The visuals are outstanding (made me feel like I was playing contra for some reason). I was able to get up to the part where his body part comes off and saw blades come up from the ground I think, though ya being destroyed in 1 hit is pretty brutal. Maybe the player could have his own HP bar instead of 1 shot K.O? And also maybe there could be health pickups for the player as well (maybe the player has an ability where, for a very brief period of time ((like 2 seconds)), if the player is hit by a projectile, instead of damaging him, he gets some of his health back). Though ya with a bit more polish this game could be super fun, good work!

Thanks for your comment. The player actually has HP, it starts with 1 and increases as you tear apart the robot's body parts, what parts you have is indicated in the upper right of the screen. However, there's a bug that makes the game harder after you die once, bullets overlap and you don't get any extra lives. If you restart the game every time you lose you can get rid of this bug.

Cool use of the limitation! Also think it's interesting you refer to the robot being the main character in the submission info - so, really, we are the enemy?

I did find it very difficult to get past, uhm... the... 90% mark? Might simply be bad at the game, but I feel like being defeated in one hit is a bit too punishing, which made me feel a little less inclined to keep on playing after being defeated.

Aside from that, I do like the game's visuals! They're pretty and you can clearly distinguish who/what you play as from the background, as well as where the bullets are!

Thanks for your comment and all of your kind words. Yes, the robot is the main character. Before starting the development we even had the idea to add an option to play as the robot instead of the broken parts and fight the broken parts.

While the game is actually difficult it should've been giving you extra lives as you play. There's a bug that makes the game harder after you die once, bullets overlap and you don't get any extra lives. If you restart the game every time you lose you can get rid of this bug.
