Use of the limitation
It's hard to actually get to a situation where it triggers in the game as it ended up, but if you die/fail on a mission you get to add a card to your deck, letting you do more things over time. Basically - the idea was modeling "learning from failure"

The game is not loading, I waited more than 5 minutes to load.
I like the card deck idea, but your description is right, I never died so I never added any cards.
