I designed a section in the intermission scene where you can loose one thing from health speed and jump, and in return you can upgrade others, like you can loose health to upgrade speed and jump

Very decent for a 1st game, nice work :)
Nice work for a first game and first jam entry. I liked having the control tutorial incorporated into the game. Nice little dust particles on the player, too.
I like the concept of your game. But as you pointed out, this was your first game (using the GDevlop engine I will assume), the implementation and the feel your game gives is not as good as it could be. As a beginner developer, this is my detailed feedback to hopefully give you some guidelines on what to improve:
- First the collisions are broken, sometimes doors will open and close frenetically which shows that there is an issue. If that is because of the collision detection system of the engine you could probably disable the collisions for the entry door right after the player enters level itself, then when he comes back enable it at that specific moment.
- The sprites and animations are quite good especially the player which gives a nice vibe but is weird to see them collide with each other. Again, this collision thing is weird. The player is supposed to be repelled from the enemy if he hits it horizontally, but what happens is that if the player moves towards the enemy while being knocked back, then he instantly gets hit another time which makes the lives fly by sometimes.
- The idea is very good of trading some abilities for others but the first time I played the level, I didn't understand what I should do directly. I stumbled luckily at the bottom right of the level at a door (which constantly opened and closed when I entered it). The map was too big and non-guided at all, it was like a farm where you had to gather ingredients, except they are everywhere and bring them to the end door which is hard to locate the first time.
- The only good moments I felt were when discovering the controls of the player and when I saw some nice particles when walking and when some enemies were stuck in hole where I could just jump on them automatically. My least favorite moments are where I got stuck between two enemies and felt that it was impossible to get out of there as the platform didn't allow me to use my jump to go over them.
I hope this helps you!
Thanks for your valuable feedback, After uploading I also thought that the map is too big but already I was too late so left it as it is. I'll surely keep in mind all your points while working on my future game, thanks for playing my game
Good game.
Thanks for playing it
