Use of the limitation
The robot in the game starts off depressed, & one of the main symptoms of depression is lack of energy. The heart metric in the game represents how much energy the robot has, & the rocks measure its level of depression. Depending on the choices you make, as you help the robot decide to “create” a new friend, you are “destroying” the robot’s loneliness & increasing its energy.
