I'm guessing this game is more of a proof-of-concept, as at the moment it seems to be missing quite a few pieces for a full experience? No sound, no goal etc. Can comment on some things, as I think you already know whats otherwise is missing.
Well, first of the art is awesome, really quite high quality there, also the laser effects and movement flame etc. looks good. Also a real fan of the controls (or at-least the general concept of it as at the moment it still feels a bit unfinished), having your speed increase depending on the mouse distance is very elegant. It is however, very difficult to aim in the end, seen this issue with almost all the "free-movement" space-shooters for this jam, with no ability to do strafe runs against enemies you are forced to take hits to even aim at them. Needs something extra to give back combat control to the player so I can take out enemies while avoiding getting hit.
Also, don't know if this is only local, but my steroids where moving very very fast at times, pin-balling all over the place. Did not look very good.
Overall, a game that has potential! It needs a lot more work, but hope you continue working with these assets.
Couldn't export the project for some reason, so I finally just uploaded my browser cached test files. Currently pretty generally janky. Will see if I can re-export/re-upload again later tonight.
Really cool game, really liked the art and animation but it was a bit confusing, you maybe could zoom out a bit the camera
The visuals and controls are soo good, why would you cripple your game with no audio? This game deserves audio.
Thanks, planned to add audio last, as it drastically increases compile times, but I spent the last 5 hours trying to work around a series of build issues. Never was able to actually get the build complete, so what you're playing are cached files of a previous test run. Good times.
I'll upload the mostly functional version when I get this build issue worked out and I'll try to get that audio in.
This was very fun to mess around in! It lacks any real goal though. I really like the control idea, and your use of the mouse if very good!
