A space-shooter! A classic, but mixed with a tower defense mechanic that you cant let any enemies pass? Interesting. Now, at its core, I have no issues with the game, it has a simple mechanic, the goal is clear, its presentation is lacking a bit but works, you even have upgrades! That's some nice stuff.

However, two things make drags the game down a lot. First of; No auto-fire, It quickly gets irritating that I have to spam my mouse-button to fire. It really feels like its a unnecessary task to do, just let me hold down the button please, I don't feel like spamming ads anything to game-play. Secondly, the sounds, especially the explosion effect is very rough on the ears, honestly had to turn off the sound to continue playing.

Other then that we have the small stuff, that I almost always advocate for: Details! Some more visual feed-back on the laser shoot, and taking damage would have been nice (like a flashing sprite or other) etc. the enemies could be a bit more dynamic in how they fly in, instead of always going in a strait line etc. the small stuff makes the game feel less"stiff" and more "alive".

Overall, great job! Its playable and have a soft-spot for pure

Thanks for the feedback, I realised it later how annoying it get to keep clicking...

I try and update the game with auto-fire. I didn't have enough time and also it my first time ever... Pleasure that you enjoyed it..

I love that you're using the Godot Engine. Big fan.

Nice effort in 72 hours for a new developer!

There's a few small things that need tweaking:

1. Godot can export to all platforms. There's no reason to have only html.

2. If you're going to export to html, you could make it playable in the browser on itch.io. Just rename the html file to index.html and make it playable on the itch page.

3. Chrome doesn't like running Godot apps locally, so you may want to advise users to try Firefox if it doesn't work for them.

4. Seems like the level fails to restart if you lose. So I had to reload the page to play a second time.

5. Consider making it auto-shoot. There's not much point clicking the button endlessly. Especially when it doesn't register clicks outside the window.

6. Try your own game on the itch.io desktop client. If it fails to install, you've got a problem worth addressing.
