Quite challenging and a bit punishing with the landing accuracy, but really fun once you get a grip of the mechanics. Nice one!
Underrated game ! Despite the few errors that everyone does in a platformer jam (e.g. slippery platforms), I felt like I was back to the Source games time!
Ah, a fellow linux-mancer.
I had a surprising amount of fun barking the physics with the rocket launcher. However I disliked how it sometimes just doesn't fire. The weapon feedback might need some work. Also there is no way to get back to the menu when you're done with the level. Did I miss a button?
Game quality was decent. The open source textures just have this 2000s energy, brings me right back.
Clearly the game suffers most from being unfinished, however I wonder if the lack of enemies (as dictated by the rules) is something this twitch shooter can deal with. What is the point of a shooter if there is nothing to shoot at? What is the point of running, jumping, "exploiting" the physics if there is nothing to run from/to? The tower might have been this something, but felt more like an accident rather then the main course.
Hey, thanks for the feedback, and yea i agree that the weapon feedback indeed needs work, as i mainly wanted a rocket jump implemented. as the focus was for the game to be a puzzle/platformer kind of thing. And I really wanted to create a quake like movement system, and with all those things i ended up without any actual levels due to time and skill constraints. But I really want to keep working on this code until i have something that works, maybe even a full on quake-like online shooter.
as for a button to go back to the main menu, it does indeed not exist >.>
