Nice idea for the limitation. I like the loot-spewing mechanic.
The controls could be more responsive. Also, it's a good idea to incorporate some visual feedback (in addition to the health bar) when the player is hit: for example, audio feedback, flashing of the player sprite, knockback, etc.
What a cool mechanic! I absolutely love it when enemies spew loot everywhere. At the beginning I said "oh this is easy, all of the enemies come down to you so I don't need to jump" then I got to a level where I couldn't go anywhere.. :(. I guess, such is the issue with greed.
ahahah it was absolutely the intention ! It wasn't supposed to be as unforgiving as it is, lack of time made it this way. Thank you for your feedback
The game is fun. You even have used ct.js (WOW)! Keep working :)
Thank you ! it was our first jam so we wanted to stay simple regarding the software :)
I couldn't jump to a higher place and ended up there. I didn't want to take the loot, but I wanted the heart, so I had to take it.
Congratulations!
Really interesting use of the mechanic. Though at level 3 or 4 (I can't remember) I had to much weight and couldn't get to where ever the door was
Hey this is intentional, you can get up there only if you don't take much loot, unfortunately we weren't able to make a shop to sell the loot, so for now taking loot is simply useless
