Lmao I was looking around for a score and almost thought the FPS counter was how well I was doing.
I don't think the controls are an issue, mostly I think you should've just done away with the paddles entirely and went with the point to jump when touching a tree concept, made multiple holes in all cardinal directions you could fall through to lose, and actually awarded the player when hit the blue boxes and you would've had something really cool.
I know most people just cut their losses and move on, but you're not far away from a fun lil game, maybe just fix it up a bit, there are some crucial elements missing from the game loop that aren't hard to implement.
Anyways, I thought it was a unique concept and you almost executed, I tried to rate you but I'd rather rate you again if you can at least provide a score meter :) believe that would be an allowed improvement btw.
Great job!
Would appreciate it if you could rate/comment on mine as well :)
Thank you for your wonderful feedback.
I always try to create new controls when implementing game ideas, so I don't make progress.
I think it's my biggest drawback.
As you say, other people save a lot to meet the time limit in game jam, but my game isn't just a savings, it's a lot missing. You're right.
In my defense, I made a mistake in managing the schedule.
I wanted to change my daily routine, so I applied for programs and interviews for an internship.
My head is in a mess right now.
I've already submitted the game, so I'm going to update the revision later. :D
Oh, no worries.
To clarify, I meant that most people abandon their games after a game jam, for this though, might be worthwhile to just spruce it up a bit & just have a functioning game, not far away.
Anyways good luck getting your shit together, being in a school environmen/looking for jobs tand doing this at the same time is a lot of stress, it's very hard to balance it.
Not a game yet!
Keep it going!
Yeah, you right
Cool concept, could have definitely done with the flippers moving and some simple sounds. A good program to generate little bleeps and bloops is BFXR, really easy to use
I agree that
Thank you!
